Birds Available & Waiting List
Park Ridge Heritage Clearwing Budgies is a small Queensland hobby aviary. Birds may become available from time to time, but availability depends on breeding results, health checks, season timing and whether young birds are suitable to move on.
This page explains how availability enquiries work, what information to send, and what to expect before any bird leaves the aviary.
Current Availability
Available Now
Availability changes with the season. Young birds are only considered after they are fully weaned, settled, eating well, moving confidently and showing enough maturity to assess health, type and colour direction.
Young Birds Coming Soon
Some chicks may be held back for observation before any decision is made. This allows time to check feathering, body colour, wing clarity, sex, family records and whether the bird should stay in the breeding program.
Project Lines
Depending on the season, enquiries may involve Heritage Clearwing, Amethyst, Red Violet, Whitecap, Seafoam, Rainbow, Opaline, Violet, Cobalt, Mauve, Sky Blue, Light Green, Dark Green or Olive Clearwing project birds.
Not a Pet Shop
This is a hobby aviary, not a bulk-sales setup. Birds are not supplied to pet shops, bird markets or bulk buyers. Suitable homes, quarantine awareness and ongoing care matter more than quick sales.

How the Waiting List Works
A waiting list enquiry helps match genuine budgie keepers with suitable birds when they become available. It does not guarantee a bird, hold a bird permanently, or override health and suitability checks.
What You Are Looking For
Please say whether you are after a pet budgie, a Heritage Clearwing breeding bird, or a particular project direction such as Amethyst, Red Violet, Whitecap, Seafoam, Rainbow, Violet, Cobalt, Mauve, Sky Blue, Green Series or Fallow.
Your Setup
It helps to mention whether the bird will be housed indoors, in an aviary, in a breeding cabinet, or with existing birds. Include your quarantine plan if you already keep budgies.
Experience Level
Beginners are welcome to enquire, but the aim is to place birds responsibly. New keepers should read the care, quarantine and emergency pages before bringing any new budgie home.
Information to Send When You Enquire
- Your name and general location.
- Whether you want a pet bird, breeder, or project-line bird.
- Preferred colour or mutation, if any.
- Whether you already keep budgies or other birds.
- Your quarantine plan for new arrivals.
- Whether you are looking for a cock, hen, young bird, or future pairing bird.
- Any photos or details of birds you want to match with, if you are asking about breeding plans.
Pickup, Holding & Biosecurity Notes
Pickup Notes
Pickup details are arranged privately by email. Birds should travel in a safe carry box and be moved with as little stress as possible.
Holding Birds
Birds are not held indefinitely. Any hold must be sensible for the bird’s welfare and the aviary’s breeding plans.
Quarantine Comes First
Every new bird should be quarantined away from existing birds. Separate cage, separate tools, clean hands and daily observation are strongly recommended.
Health Before Colour
No colour target is more important than a healthy, stable bird. If a bird is not ready to leave, it stays until it is ready or is withdrawn from availability.
